Kerryn Ashford-Hatherly
Kerryn is a Clinical Psychologist who has extensive experience working with co-morbidity, alcohol and drug issues, domestic violence and trauma. She has an eclectic approach to therapy, which incorporates evidence-based interventions as well as existential theories. With more than 30 years experience in working in the mental health field Kerryn’s main clinical interest areas are Addiction, PTSD and the mental health impact of Concussion.
Kerryn has been trained in the USA to Supervisor level in the Matrix Model, for intensive outpatient addiction treatment and is a Director of the Matrix Program in Perth WA. In addition to her clinical work in the Matrix Program, Kerryn has delivered training and presentations to health professionals on the mental health aspects of addiction and its treatment and continues to supervise allied health professionals in this area.
Kerryn is a former Police Psychologist with Western Australia Police and has held senior management positions in non-government agencies and private organisations. Her experience includes several years working within the FIFO and resources sector providing critical incident co-ordination and response, mental health training and consultancy to major mining, offshore oil and gas and construction companies around Australia and internationally. Kerryn has also been guest speaker at international Health and Safety conferences.

Kerryn's professional focus revolves in relation to the realms of depth psychology, existentialism, and philosophy, as well as the profound insights offered by the works of Carl Jung, Michel Foucault, and the personality concepts of the Enneagram.
Kerryn has a particular interest with Oneirology. Oneirology refers to the process of exploring and understanding the symbolic content and psychological significance of dreams. Dream analysis involves examining the elements, emotions, and narratives present in dreams to gain insight into the unconscious mind and its potential impact on an individual's thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

In addition to family time, Kerryn, is a lover of the beach, all animals and going on silent retreats.
